Shipping and Delivery Options
What types of shipping do you offer in New Zealand, and what are your rates?
We offer tracked courier or collection options. Choose from:
1. Courier – NZ Post tracked service
Delivery to your address with tracking provided. Charges apply based on region:
- South Island: $8.50 Urban | $12.50 Rural
- North Island: $10.50 Urban | $14.50 Rural
Estimated delivery timeframe: 3–5 working days from dispatch (allow slightly longer during peak holiday periods or during weather related transport disruptions).
On dispatch, we will email you the order tracking number. You can enter this on the NZ Post website to view delivery status and estimated delivery date. For additional updates, NZ Post offers email notifications. After entering your tracking number, select “Get email alerts” from the parcel options next to your tracking details.
2. Queenstown office - collection by arrangement (no charge)
Please include your preferred pickup day and time in your order notes. Depending on timing, we may require up to 48 hours to prepare your order. If your order is time-sensitive, please contact us before placing it: 021 287 6383. Our offices are situated in Fernhill, which is a 5 minute drive from down town Queenstown. Your order will be placed in our letterbox for collection at your leisure on the arranged day.
3. Remarkables Market - collection (no charge)
This service is available on those days that we have a Stir stall at the market. Select this option at checkout and collect your order from our stall in the red barn. You will find us there on these days.
What are our New Zealand shipping rates?
The standard shipping and handling charges for your online order, using NZ Post courier service are:
South Island:
Urban $8.50 Rural Address $12.50
North Island:
Urban $10.50 Rural Address $14.50
How quickly will my order ship?
It is our goal to ship orders within 2 working days of receipt of order. In the event of unforeseen circumstances meaning your order will not meet this time-frame, you will be advised. During peak periods such as before Christmas or Mother's Day, please allow extra days for your order to ship. Our warehouse is situated in Central Otago.
Do you ship to P.O Boxes?
We prefer to ship to a physical address so that we can track the order. If you would prefer your order goes to a PO Box we can do this however the order will not be tracked and there may be additional delivery charges depending on the size of the package.
Do you ship outside New Zealand?
Yes, we can ship your order to Australia. We have outlined below how you can progress your order enquiry.
Because individual orders vary greatly, there is no standard charge, and each order is quoted individually at the time of enquiry.
In our experience, most overseas customers find that ordering a minimum of 500 gms of our tea provides them with the most cost-effective freight charge solution (ordering a single 100 gm bag is extremely cost-prohibitive from a freight perspective).
If you live outside of Australia, please email us separately with details of your proposed order, and we will let you know how we might be able to help.
How to Progress your Enquiry:
1. Add your chosen products to your cart and proceed to the checkout stage. Your order will be submitted as an enquiry without delivery costs or credit card charges applied.
2. By entering your overseas address, our system will recognise that you are outside New Zealand, and the delivery charge will display as: Overseas Order - Freight to be determined $0.00
3. We will then calculate the shipping cost and update your order accordingly. You will receive an email with the revised total within 24 to 48 hours.
4. If you are happy with the shipping charges, you can finalise your order by clicking the “Click here to pay” link below the total and enter your credit card details (Visa or Mastercard).
The NZ GST component will be removed from all overseas orders when an order is received from a customer living outside of the country and the order is being delivered overseas. It will not be removed from the order if you reside in New Zealand and are simply posting your package overseas.
Unfortunately, we are not able to ship our glass teapots or tea tins overseas due to their delicate nature.
Secure Payment and Ordering
What are your accepted payment methods?
We accept credit card payments by Visa & MasterCard.
NZ residents can also make a direct bank transfer (Account2Account) for NZ residents. Just place items in your shopping cart, proceed to checkout and complete checkout and choose the pay by Account2Account option which is a real time transfer from your bank account.
All transactions are in N.Z Dollars.
Is ordering on your site secure?
We have chosen to use secure provider Windcave for our ecommerce platform. Please view our Privacy Policy for more information about how we use and secure personal information.
Do you collect goods and services sales tax?
Tea Global Ltd is required to collect New Zealand goods and services sales tax (GST). This tax is currently 15.00% and is included in the retail sales price listed beside the product.
Returns Policy
What is your Returns Policy?
Tea Global Ltd sells product of the highest quality and we do everything we can to ensure it arrives to you in premium condition. Should any item you purchase prove faulty or damaged we will replace or refund the item up to 20 days from the day the item was dispatched to you.

Gift Wrap Service
Can I send my order as a gift?
Many of our customers give tea or accessories as a gift. Simply nominate a different shipping address as part of the ordering process and we can send it there directly.
If you wish to have a message attached and your order gift wrapped then select the $5 gift wrap option displayed throughout the website.
